A tweet from the rapper stating that he is doing okay debunked rumors of him being in a coma and given his last rites Friday.
Lil Wayne was reportedly in an LA hospital after suffering a seizure. TMZ stated that he was in extremely critical condition, and his family gathered at the hospital to possibly say their goodbyes.
The rapper, 30 years of age, suffered multiple seizures on Tuesday and Wednesday. He did not stabilize after his most recent seizure and went back to the hospital. Sources are also saying that the cause of the seizure is a “sizzurp” induced binge, although he has suffered from seizures numerous times in the past.
Rapper friend Mack Maine later tweeted that he and Wayne were watching sports on television and that he would address the rumors soon. Label mate Nicki Minaj retweeted it.
I’m going to be the first to admit that I am in no way a fan of Lil Wayne’s. I think I only like a few songs. However, he is a human, so for people to say “Good, I hope he dies, he did this to himself”, you deserve to be smacked. If he actually was really sick, saying that he should have died is an awful thing to say.
He is still a human, and no one deserves to die. Yes, drug are bad, but for him to “deserve” to die is a despicable thing to say. This is a difficult time for his family, and if there has been someone that you know who has drug addictions, you would know how difficult it is for their family and friends to witness and cope with.
